Gina's vision for Global Public Health is rooted in communication: "If we listen to those that work in the field, those that have dedicated their lives to delivering health and nutrition services to the vulnerable and needy throughout the world, I believe we will find some of the best solutions to handling preventable diseases. And just as importantly, we will be giving a voice to those who work tireless hours in often very difficult and isolated conditions. As the world struggles to find enough qualified health care workers to address an ever growing need, perhaps the best way we can ensure that we do not lose those individuals to indifference is to tell their stories and listen to their ideas. By bringing their successes-and failures-to light in newsletters, on website and blogs, newspaper articles and journals, we may find much needed solutions while at the same provide a much needed sense of acknowledgement to public health workers and the people they serve."
Gina has a bachelor’s in communication, a master's degree in culture and communication and a graduate certificate in International Health.
